“Schoen Zetten”
Saint Nicholas talked to the VSA
Because he had some things to say
He told us you had all been nice
So to the board’s great surprise
Sinterklaas gave us permission
To carry out a Dutch tradition
If this sounds interesting to you
Come to the board room, and don’t forget to bring a shoe
During the Dutch holiday of Sinterklaas, children put a shoe in front of the fireplace and sings songs before going to bed๐ฅ๐ผ. In the night, Saint Nicholas and his helpers visit through the chimney to fill up the shoes with gifts and traditional Sinterklaas candy ๐ซ.
What you might not know is that the VSA board knows Sinterklaas personally, and he told us he will pay our board room a visit. So leave your shoe ๐ฅพ (or anything else you can put stuff in if you don’t want to temporarily have one shoe less ๐ฅฃ๐ฉ๐ชน) in the board room and maybe even sing a song. When you return, you will find a nice surprise in your shoe(-alternative)!
