Lecture: ‘Powered by Plants’
The Education Committee of VSA Nijmegen has invited Michelle Bisschops to give a very interesting lecture. Michelle is a dietitian and health scientist with a focus on plant-based nutrition. She currently works with clients and patients in her own dietitian practice, Roots (Amsterdam and Haarlem). She also works as a research dietitian in the Plants for Joints study (Reade Amsterdam). Through her work, Michelle aims to inspire as many people as possible to eat (more) plant-based in a healthy, sustainable way.
In the lecture ‘Powered by Plants’, Michelle will guide you through the basics of healthy plant-based nutrition: what does science teach us about a plant-based diet and our health? Does ‘vegan’ or ‘plant-based’ automatically equal healthy? And what does a healthy plant-based diet look like? These and many more questions will be answered during the lecture. With the knowledge you gain, you will know what concrete steps to take to optimize your food intake and take your health to the next level! So whether you’re just starting to explore a plant-based diet or already eat fully plant-based this is a great opportunity to learn about nutrition. This lecture is open to everyone interested, we hope to see you there 😊.
