Carnaval potluck
The winter days are mostly behind us and if you’re like us, all you want to do is party. Well, you’re in luck: the theme for the next potluck is Carnaval! β€οΈππ
This is a holiday celebrated in the south of the Netherlands that consists of partying, parades, dressing up and singing along to loud music while severely intoxicated. πΊπ»
Traditionally Carnaval marks the start of a fasting period (carne vale = goodbye to meat), but we’ll hopefully be enjoying lots of delicious vegan food. Join us on March 13th in the canteen of the Huygens Building for a true feast π€€
How do I make carnaval-themed food, you ask? You can get very creative with it, maybe you could cook a dish that disguises itself, or something in the colours of Carnaval: red, yellow & green. And technically, any food without meat qualifies as a Carnaval food, so any vegan food will do! π«π₯© β οΈπ₯¦
