🗣️Sharing Circle 🤝
The holidays are always stressful: long transportation delays, annoying little cousins, awkward group photos… and for us, the added anxiety of returning to a family that still exploits animals. 😖
Since many students discover veg*nism in total freedom while living alone, the return home can be full of unpleasant confrontations. How do you tell your parents that you don’t eat meat anymore? Or have you now gone fully vegan and dread all the cheese dishes that your family usually makes for you? How do you deal with family members who keep making mean comments? 😮💨😓😣
You are not alone, so let’s figure it out together before your bags are packed! Come join us in the cozy private board room to share ideas on how to make the conversations and shared dinners less uncomfortable. We may not be able to change our stubborn aunts, disrespectful cousins, or selfish fathers, but we can help remind each other that we’re doing the right thing by refusing to recognize animals as food. 💪
For those who will have attended the Cube of Truth the day before, this will also be a chance to talk about your experiences there. Together, we’re a voice for the animals 🗣️
Feel free to bring your lunch! Tea and candy will be available.
