Buttercream Frosting

An easy and delicious way to decorate your baked goods!

  • 1 cup vegan butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • plantbased milk optional
  • vanilla extract optional


  • Soften the vegan butter until it reaches room temperature.
  • You can either use a fork or a mixer for the next bit.
    Fork: Mash the butter with the fork on a plate or in a bowl and gradually add the powdered sugar through the softened butter.
    Mixer: whip the butter for around one minute, then slowly, whilst mixing, add the powdered sugar, half a cup at a time.
    If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon of plantbased milk/vanilla extract.
  • When everything is well mixed, you can decorate your baked goods and enjoy!



-Peanutbutter: Replace half a cup of the vegan butter with half a cup of peanut butter

-Lemon: Add the zest of one lemon + 1 tbsp of lemonjuice to the mixture and mash/mix through. 

-Fruity cream cheese: Replace half a cup of the vegan butter with half a cup of vegan cream cheese (e.g.: violife creamy original), then add some fruit (e.g.: blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, mango, etc.)
