
Buttercream Frosting
An easy and delicious way to decorate your baked goods!
Ingredients
- 1 cup vegan butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- plantbased milk optional
- vanilla extract optional
Instructions
- Soften the vegan butter until it reaches room temperature.
- You can either use a fork or a mixer for the next bit.Fork: Mash the butter with the fork on a plate or in a bowl and gradually add the powdered sugar through the softened butter. Mixer: whip the butter for around one minute, then slowly, whilst mixing, add the powdered sugar, half a cup at a time.If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon of plantbased milk/vanilla extract.
- When everything is well mixed, you can decorate your baked goods and enjoy!
Notes
Variations
-Peanutbutter: Replace half a cup of the vegan butter with half a cup of peanut butter-Lemon: Add the zest of one lemon + 1 tbsp of lemonjuice to the mixture and mash/mix through.
-Fruity cream cheese: Replace half a cup of the vegan butter with half a cup of vegan cream cheese (e.g.: violife creamy original), then add some fruit (e.g.: blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, mango, etc.)
