Banana bread
A classic, great at any moment during the day and perfect if your bananas are almost unedible.
Equipment
- loaf pan 20 cm
Ingredients
- 4 large overripe bananas
- 50 ml neutral tasting oil for example sunflower
- 250 gr flour
- 50 gr sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- dash salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius
- Grease your loaf pan or use parchment paper
- Mash three bananas in a (mixing) bowl and add the oil and the vanilla extract
- Mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon) in a separate bowl
- Add the mixture of dry ingredients gradually to the wet ingredients and stir to combine them
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan
- Cut the fourth banana horizontally and put it on top of the batter
- Bake for about 45 minutes (baking time may vary a bit depending on your oven)
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before slicingYou can easily freeze your slices of banana bread if it is too much to finish in one sitting 😉
Notes
Variation tip: add some chopped (wal)nuts or dried fruit
